Rapenburg Race '21-18 SEP: I'm swimming for paraplegia! Please donate!
My dear friend Maarten suffered a spinal cord injury back in 2016. Ever since, his life has changed drastically but he remains the optimistic, helpful and inspirational friend,
Together with a dedicated team, he is raising awareness for paraplegia through the organization of the Rapenburg Race; a 800 m swimming race in the most famous canal of the Netherlands.
This year, on the 18th of September, I will participate in this great event in order to raise money and shed light on this most important matter. All the donations will go directly into the research for improving the quality of life for people with paraplegia.

Op 23 juni 2018 werd de eerste Rapenburg Race in Leiden georganiseerd. De Rapenburg Race is een zwemwedstrijd van 800 meter door de bekendste gracht van Nederland. In 2018 werd geld ingezameld voor educatieve projecten voor vluchtelingenkinderen. De tweede editie werd georganiseerd op 21 september 2019. Deze opbrengst ging naar onderzoek om de kwaliteit van leven voor mensen met een dwarslaesie te verbeteren!
